Invoice Finance

A business sells its invoices to a finance provider in exchange for an immediate cash advance — typically up to 85% of the invoice value. When the customer pays the invoice later, the finance provider sends the remaining balance to the business, minus a small fee or interest charge.

Certain invoice finance solutions offer both internal credit control management and the discretion to use the facility without customer awareness.

Asset Finance

This funding solution allows a company to release cash tied up in existing assets — such as vehicles, machinery or equipment — by using them as security for a loan.

A lender will assess the value of the business’ assets and then provide a cash advance based on that value (usually up to 70–80%). The business then repays the loan in instalments, while continuing to use the assets in your business.

Business Loan

A business loan is a type of financing that allows a company to borrow money from a lender to help fund its operations, growth, upgrade facilities, hire staff, pay creditors or other business needs.

The advantages of a business loan over an overdraft is less interest may be paid over a specified period and at a set interest rate.

There are many types of business loans. Metis Funding Solutions can advise which loan is most suitable for the business and its requirements.

Start-up Loan - a loan of up to £25k for businesses 3 years or younger.

Business Loan - a loan of up to £250k for businesses 3 years+.

Construction Finance

Construction Finance is a specialist product for businesses involved in the Construction sector but really should be called contracting finance.

The product allows businesses to raise working capital against their outstanding invoices and applications for payment on on-going contracts on a confidential basis.

It’s used to enable businesses to raise working capital to fund an on-going contract to allow them to buy supplies, pay staff and take away the stresses of day-to-day cashflow.

Bridging Loan

This funding solution is used to ‘bridge’ a gap between a debt becoming due for payment and a line of credit becoming available.

Bridging loans can be used to purchase a property quickly – such as auction purchases, fund property restoration/conversion work or prevent repossession.

Given the variety of bridging loan options, businesses and individuals should ensure they choose the most appropriate solution for their circumstances. Metis Funding Solutions can guide you through the process.

Development Finance

This could range from building a single house to multiple properties,  a commercial unit or even expanding an equestrian yard, increasing stable capacity or building a new arena. If you already own the land outright, you may be able to access up to 100% of the build costs, released in stages as the project progresses.

If you also need to purchase the land, lenders may fund up to 70% of the land’s purchase price in addition to the staged build costs.

Trade Finance

It helps seller (exporter) receive payment promptly and enables buyer (importer) to defer payment until goods are delivered to complete the sale aiding efficiency and cashflow for the importer. Trade Finance can also be used in the UK, if it fits the process.

This business finance solution is suitable for manufacturing companies, retailers, wholesalers and import and export traders.

Component Part Finance
